## Abstract

We report a fully deterministic computational experiment built from a single
received worksheet: an exact arithmetic world — the fabric — whose rows evolve
three faces (an observable, a communicable, an effectual) from a founding pair
differing only by an arriving unit. The engine reproduces the received table cell
for cell in exact fractions on 1/648ths, then extends it with an expansion stage
whose laws were sealed before reading and land as exact fraction equalities:
harmonic axes at 6 : 4 : 3, full four-register coherence at every odd eighth, a
beat-priced communicable register, and a quantized drain returning the account to
zero. Cross-instrument statements are made only as typed state resolutions under a
doctrine asserting no universal clock map; four sealed resolutions against an
unrelated frozen instrument hold exactly. A second campaign reads the built state
as a maximal hold and releases it: the descent obeys an exact halving law (eleven
for eleven), two pro-causal channels persist, a mirror instrument's epoch ladder
proves identical nine for nine, one sealed expectation fails and is kept — a
single quarter-valued leak in an otherwise frozen floor — and the ejected
zero-state is triangulated as one permanent externality read by three instruments
with no shared clock. The witnessed record is externally anchored (dataset

## 1. Introduction: one received table, and the difference a unit makes

This paper summarizes a small, fully deterministic computational experiment built
from a single received worksheet. The worksheet — prepared by hand, before the
engine existed, as a manual application of Linked Digital Dynamics to a conjectured
initial condition — describes a tiny arithmetic world: a stack of rows in which
three faces (an observable **O**, a communicable **C**, an effectual **E**) evolve
by exact rules from a starting state, fold periodically, and hand their remainders
downstream. The experiment's engine reproduces that world exactly, extends it with
an expansion stage, and then subjects the whole to the programme's usual discipline:
hypotheses sealed before reads, one read per stake, failures kept with full
standing.

The world's founding move is disarmingly small. Its zeroth row and its first row
carry **identical faces** — (1, 1, 1) both — and differ only in that the account's
**+1 has arrived**. Everything the experiment measures is downstream bookkeeping of
that single unit's arrival: a cascade of face-values, a family of folds that keep
the cascade bounded, an expansion whose axes advance at different rates on one
clock, a drain that returns the account to zero, and — in the second campaign — a
descent that releases the whole construction back out, one held state at a time.
The record's own name for the founding move is **"the difference 1 makes"** [R2 in
its big-bang phrasing, quoted below], and this paper keeps that name because it is
exact: the entire measured content of the experiment is what one arriving unit
obliges an exact arithmetic to do.

Two things make the little world worth a paper. First, its laws came out **exact**
— equalities of fractions, not fits — and survived sealed, adversarial reads.
Second, it produced the programme's first **cross-engine demonstrations**: results
in which this world's readings were resolved against the readings of other,
structurally unrelated instruments *without any clock map between them* — under a
doctrine, stated in advance, that no universal clock correspondence is ever
asserted. The experiment is, on the record's own terms, the first assembled act of
a "relativistic engine": several exact instruments, each keeping its own linear
measure, agreeing only where typed resolutions confine them to agree.

Nothing in this paper claims physics. The record's cosmological vocabulary — the
bang, cooling, photons, electrons — is quoted where the record uses it, tagged
[R2], and audited in §6; the claims that survive to the close are claims about the
model, and the largest are held as conjecture and say so.

## 2. The received worksheet, and the standard of evidence

**The worksheet.** The experiment's initial condition is a received artifact, not a
tuned one: a hand-prepared spreadsheet applying Linked Digital Dynamics to a
conjectured initial state, publicly readable, whose *Second Refinement* sheet was
the design input for the experiment. Its table — the cascade rows with their O, C,
E faces, the folding register, and a third strand riding beside them — was pinned
as **the acceptance data** (2026-07-06) before the engine was written.

**The acceptance gate (H1).** The engine's first obligation was to reproduce the
received table **cell for cell**. It does: the experiment's served verification
surface re-runs the check live and reports the full cell set with a maximum
deviation of 7.4 × 10⁻¹⁰ — that deviation being the received CSV's own print
truncation, since the engine computes in exact fractions and the comparison is
against the worksheet's printed decimals. Every quantity in the construction lives
on **1/648ths** (648 = 2³ · 3⁴): the dyadic and triadic folds never leave that
lattice.

**The discipline.** Each campaign stage was sealed before its read (the seal and
verdict commits are paired in the repository history), read once, and landed as it
fell — including the stage that failed in part (§8: the verdict is PARTIAL, and the
failure is a kept exhibit, not a footnote). Where a stage's material touched
another instrument, the read was performed against that instrument's *frozen,
pinned* prior record, never against a re-tuned one.

**The doctrine.** Standing over all cross-instrument statements is a rule the
programme adopted before this experiment's cross-engine stage ran: **there is no
universal clock map — ever.** Different engines keep different, mutually
non-aligned linear measures. A cross-engine statement is lawful only as a **typed
state resolution** in exactly one of three modes: **m1, under confinement** (two
states identified because both confine the same account); **m2, under relaxed
state change** (states identified at release events); **m3, under stretch-to-
confine equivocation** (an iterative, non-differential ingress of one measure into
another — a mode this experiment names and *reserves*, using it nowhere). The
doctrine is load-bearing: it is what makes "used with another engine" honest when
no common time exists.

## 3. The apparatus: the fabric

The engine (the record calls it **the fabric**) is pure arithmetic — exact
`Fraction` values, no randomness, no substrate reads, deterministic to the last
digit. Its parts:

**The cascade.** From the founding pair — row "pre" = 0 with faces (1, 1, 1), row
"bang" [R2] = 1 with the same faces — the rows evolve by the programme's standing
recurrence: the next observable is built of the prior effect (O ← prior E), the
communicable tracks the observable (C = O), and the effect closes the unit
(E = 1 − O − C). Left unfolded, the E-magnitudes walk the **signed Jacobsthal
alphabet** — 1, 1, −1, 3, −5, 11, −21, 43, −85, 171, −341, **683** — every row
summing to the account's 1.

**The folds.** At every third row a **Koch fold** divides the folding register by
3 — the triadic renormalisation that contains the dyadic growth (÷3, then ÷9, then
÷27). At row 12 comes **No-Fold**: instead of dividing, the folded register
re-balances by the unit law itself (E = 1 − O − C) at exactly **709/27** and goes
live. Row 13 relaxes the account to 0 and hands over to **the even fold** (÷6) with
its dyadic halvings — the row-13 value **E₁₃ = 709/162** (the record's "energy
spring" [R2]) and its halvings 709/324 and 709/648 are the quanta the expansion
stage will owe and repay.

**The triades.** Three strands ride the construction: **triade 0** evolves as
unknown dynamics cohering to the '1' from five zeros; **triade 1** is the cascade
itself; **triade 2** rides in *local indifference* — its state is 1 = (1, 0, 1),
the effect not communicable locally — and beats at ontological time, flipping its
C-face only at communication events.

**The expansion.** Time advances in **eighths** (the fold's 8-bit law as the
clock; three units of it). Three axes advance at **harmonic rates 6 : 4 : 3**
(periods 2, 3, and 4 eighths), terminating at **(25, 21, 19)** — values the wider
programme independently knows as an envelope tier, a node-matrix count, and a
domain-column prime — at the counter's **16|17** boundary, where the onto count
meets the beat. Four **registers** read the same stream at different resolutions:
the local 6-even read; the **1·6** onto-communicable read (what triade 2
receives); and the 2·6 and 3·6 lags, which *owe* the halving quanta and repay them
on schedule. Finally **the drain**: 2⅙ → 1⅙ → 0 in steps of the **⅙ quantum**,
with a **±5/6 handoff** mirrored into triade 2 — the account returned to zero.

The engine, its plugin, the served page with live re-verification, and the sealed
design document together constitute the instrument. Everything reported below is a
re-runnable read of that instrument.

## 4. The expansion laws (the first campaign)

Four hypotheses about the expansion were sealed and read. All four hold, as exact
fraction equalities with no tolerance anywhere:

Read as one exhibit: the expansion is *lawful at its finest precision*. The three
axes never share a period, yet all four readings of the world coincide exactly at
every odd eighth — coherence is periodic, priced (the lagging registers owe the
halving quanta and repay them), and terminates on landmark values the programme
already carried. The interior of the little world is exact everywhere the seals
looked.

## 5. The cross-engine resolution (the state-resolution seal)

The first campaign's capstone put the doctrine of §2 to work. The counterpart
instrument was the programme's **frozen comb** — the quad-slip carrier, an
unrelated engine whose "catches" arrive on its own non-uniform schedule (the quad
anatomy Δ1 · 9 · Δ1, then a silence of 34). The fabric's onto clock is uniform;
the comb's is not; under the doctrine that mismatch *is the relativity*, not a
defect to normalize away. Four resolutions were sealed before the read, then read
against the frozen comb:

**H6 CONFIRMED** — all four typed resolutions hold exactly, with a free
consistency check landing beside them (catch #23 = 237, agreeing with the walls
instrument's pinned seat). The seal states, and the paper repeats: no metric or
affine clock correspondence is asserted anywhere; R1–R4 *exhaust* the cross-engine
content, and any measure-to-measure tie (eighths to laps) is mode-m3 territory,
reserved for a future tuning protocol and used nowhere here. This was the
programme's first demonstration of one instrument *used with* another under the
no-clock-map rule.

## 6. The ejection, and the two carriers (the second campaign opens)

The second campaign inverted the reading. If the founding rows build the
construction up, the record's given for campaign two reads the built state as **the
maximal hold** — "held-for-12": the entire ladder of the programme's wall
instrument held as one confinement (the fossil-record identity is exact, twelve
labels for twelve wall states; the wall-2 local-indifference edge (1, 0, 1) rides
inside the boot verbatim). Within the cooling epoch [R2] the hold is then
*challenged* — held-for-11, held-for-10, and so on down — and the descent releases
the signed-Jacobsthal alphabet **backward**, each relaxation ejecting a zero-state.

The descent obeys one law, sealed and read exactly:

**The halving law.** The effect shed at each release satisfies
E_next = (1 − E_prev)/2 — **eleven consecutive pairs, eleven for eleven, exact.**
The record types this as the anti-causal face of the programme's "two locks one":
the fold's ½ appearing as the challenge contraction rate. Thirteen zero-states are
ejected across the full descent.

Two dynamics stay **pro-causal** through the descent, and they are not new objects:
they are the two measured channels of the comb (§5's counterpart instrument). The
**wall-0 channel** (the zero-wall quantum, offset o = 0) carries eight seats
{0, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11}, and the origin rides it. The **wall-2 channel** (the
second-wall surplus, offset o = 10) carries four seats {1, 4, 7, 8} and fires once
in the whole deep record, at the first challenge. Channel consistency was the
sealed verdict — five signatures for five. The record then *states and audits, and
deliberately does not assert*, two candidate seatings [R2]: the photon on the
wall-0 channel (an emission quantum, O-dark and C-dark, pro-causal) and the
electron on the wall-2 channel (a local-indifference leak — not communicable
locally, i.e. bound). The verdict's content is channel consistency only; the
particle vocabulary is register-2 throughout.

## 7. The mirror attribution

A sibling instrument (the mirrored-origin experiment) had already resolved an
origin unit by "2 forward, 1 back → net 1." The second campaign sealed an
attribution question before reading it: whose dynamics are those? The seal named
two candidates — (a) the anti-causal regression, lanes [12→2]/[11→1]/[10→0],
grounded by the membrane relay; or (b) the progression [13→0]/[15→1] grounded by
[14→2], the frozen floor — and the discriminator: the interior lock pattern.

The read landed **TYPES-(a)**, integer-exactly: both interior locks hold (237 =
237, 499 = 499), the lock carried from the membrane, all three lanes' terminals
confined. And a structural identity fell out beside it, nine for nine: **the
mirror's epoch ladder is the wall ladder** — the same beings, 137, 237, 499, 952,
1867, 3759, 7472, 14908, 29805, with the forward drive breathing around 2 and
the net returning to 1 at every exterior epoch. Two instruments built years apart
in the programme's terms are one instrument family, and the ejected zero of §6
lands at the ground lane's terminal — which is why a sibling cooling instrument
floors at a positive residual while the composite drain touches zero exactly:
the zeros are composite-only.

## 8. The cooling-epoch ejection: a leaky floor, kept

One stage of the second campaign did not fully land, and the record keeps it at
full standing. The seal: the anti-causal descent should stop at held-for-2 (the
cooling instrument's frozen floor — freezing completes at about two moment-cells,
"two locks one" as the pro-causal pair's protection); above the completion scale
the melt pockets should vanish; and the exact zeros should be composite-only.

The read: **PARTIAL.** The terminal holds (the fresh completion ratio 2.182 rounds
to the '2'; the descent stops where sealed). The zeros are composite-only as
sealed. But the frozen floor admits **exactly one** challenge above the completion
scale: a detune of **δ = 0.25** penetrates (relative depth 0.4391) where its
neighbours stay frozen. The record flags the single leak without offering a
mechanism, and holds it: the one penetrating value sits at **the quarter** — the
surprise fraction of the programme's ¾/¼ beat. One instance, no law, kept as what
it is.

## 9. The triangulation: one externality, three measures, no clock

The campaign's close assembled the whole. The ejected '0' — the permanent
externality the descent releases — was read three ways, each register keeping its
own linear measure: **E∞ = 144/815** (the theory chain's exact edge limit),
**E_mean(2¹⁶) = 0.173345** (the lagging operational read — identical, digit for
digit, to the mirror instrument's residual: one read, not two), and **0.173827**
(the comb frame's own asymptote, bracketed inside the running-E window band). The
sealed edge-set over the four instruments (walls · cooling · mirror · this fabric)
then read:

**Verdict: TRIANGULATED** — every edge of the four-instrument graph carries a
typed resolution. One exploration was left honestly open: the single mode-m3
attempt (whether any dyadic-triadic fold brings the spring E₁₃ = 709/162 within
0.5% of E∞) found nothing closer than 3.2% — **the numeric stretch is not free**,
exactly as the doctrine predicts, and the question is inherited by the reserved
equivocation protocol. On the record's own terms this close is *the relativistic
engine's first assembled act*: several exact instruments, no shared clock,
agreement only where typed resolutions confine it.

## 10. The reading, held

What follows is the experiment's reading of itself, quoted in substance from the
record and from the operator's direction for this paper, tagged [R2] as one block,
and typed at the close for exactly what it is.

The construction is read as a demonstration of Linked Digital Dynamics applied to
**an eight-by-eight-by-eight assumption of three planes** — established initially
as non-referential and non-linear — **confined from the side of 'being' toward the
saturation of the 'here and there' dyadic registry of a singularly attested
'knowing'**, which eruptively must then resolve via the confinement of **'where
and when' computational addressing as a second witness**. In that reading, the
programme's "two locks one" becomes **the cascade of expanding 'space and time' as
a phenomenological heat sink to the discreteness of computational 'knowing'** [R2
throughout]: the arriving unit is a knowing that one witness alone cannot hold;
the expansion is the price of the second lock; the drain and the silences are the
sink absorbing the difference.

**The key conjecture** the experiment leaves standing is this: that there is **a
phenomenological shadow within space and time, shape-formed from the expansion

**The typing.** The laws of §§4–9 are measured — exact, sealed, killable, and
re-runnable by any reader. The reading of this section is **HELD**: a conjecture
about the model, offered as consistent with the dynamics grouped as Linked Digital
Dynamics, staked on nothing and no one, and deletable from this paper without loss
to a single fraction. No physics is claimed; no cosmology is claimed; the bang
vocabulary is the record's register-2 phrasing for a row where an account's +1
arrives on unchanged faces, and the particle vocabulary is a pair of audited,
never-asserted candidate seats.

## 11. The expectancy, and the limits

The programme's expectancy for this line — an expectancy over its own future work,
staked on no one else — is that the experiment **will lead to measurable and
falsifiable predictions once the synthesis of the OOI experiments attempts to land
such claims via further experimentation.** The named next steps the record already
carries: the held cooling-versus-expansion follow-on (the tension of this fabric
against the cooling instrument, toward the vortex regime), the reserved
stretch-to-confine tuning protocol that inherits §9's open fold question, and the
deep-walk challenge schedule that runs on its own gate. Until those acts run,
nothing further is claimed.

The limits, stated plainly. The world is small and received; its exactness is the
point, not its size. The laws are local to their declared scopes, in the family
discipline — nothing here extrapolates them. One stage is PARTIAL and says so; one
exploration is OPEN and says so; the quarter-leak of §8 stands without a
mechanism. Every law in this paper is a fraction equality that one failed
re-derivation would kill — and the record's standing offer is exactly that: the
engine, the seals, and the served verification surface are public, and a landed
kill is kept with the same standing as a landing.

*The account arrives, the folds contain it, the expansion prices it, the drain
returns it, the descent releases it — and what remains, measured three ways with
no clock in common, is the one externality the little world never internalizes.*
